Fun Painting this semester
8X8 Acrylic Woodland Creature
I finally feel like I'm stepping out of my shell and stretching myself a bit with this assignment. A lot of my sketches have this sort of fantasy surrealistic feel to it but so far my traditional finished pieces have had nothing of the sort. I love this piece for me because I got to explore my style and speak how I wanted. Also I love acrylic. This is one of my first pieces in this medium. Our next assignment is going to include a vehicle of some sort but it can be designed and painted however we choose so long as it includes some form of transportation from another country or time era. Anything that doesn't exist we can say is from the future so I think I will be having fun with it.

Last Semester
The following images were done last semester and the top two portraits are what I consider to be the most successful and the bottom was my final. the top two were sold to the models in them. It was a good deal :) I learned a lot of things under Robert Barrett. He was a great teacher.

Yay for finals week!
I have done sooooo many paintings this semester! 15 for my class alone! Not including the three digital paintings I have done for the book or the chalk the block, or any thing I have done in my free time. Holy moly. This is a sneak peek to my latest and greatest and final piece for the illustration 2 class this semester with Bob Barrett. He has been a great teacher, I have learned tons thanks to him! Wish me luck to the critique on Thursday and my french test! :D

So we're about half way through the semester and I have been doing a lot of paintings for my class. I think it's about time I post these so you guys can see what I've been up to along side of learning french and planning a wedding and working. :) All of these are done with oil paints. And there are tons more coming.
